Telephone
Most hospital rooms have a telephone, except for Intensive care, Adult psychiatry, certain day hospitals, and some children’s wards. You can receive calls from outside the hospital. Call 22111 for the telephone switchboard.
At the Admissions and registration desk, you will receive a document with your phone number and code.
Mobile phones may be used, but please keep at least 1 metre away from any medical equipment.
Access to Wi-Fi
Your device must support wireless internet.
Connect to the UZ Gent Public network and accept the terms and conditions.
Television
Most rooms have a TV with a remote control.
Channel 40 is the hospital information channel, with details such as the weekly menu and visiting hours.
Hair care
Would you like a haircut? Ask a nurse to make an appointment.
- The hairdresser for women and children can visit your room on Mondays or Thursdays.
- The men's hairdresser can visit your room on Mondays or Tuesdays.
Payment can be made in cash or via Payconiq. The cost will not appear on your hospital bill.
Hand in your stamped letters at the ward reception.
