Medicines
Medicines that are not reimbursed by health insurance will be invoiced to you in full. You pay for what you have used.
The cost of reimbursable medication is included in the flat rate for reimbursable medicines. You do not pay this flat rate for day admissions, but you may be charged for reimbursable medicines.
Parapharmaceutical products
Parapharmaceutical products include personal care products or a toothbrush. You only pay for what you have used.
Implants
Implants are instruments, devices or aids that are inserted into the body, such as a lens or artificial hip. You usually pay a personal contribution for them.
In addition, the hospital pharmacist charges a delivery margin. This amounts to 10 percent of the cost price, with a maximum of 148.74 euros.
Prostheses
A prosthesis replaces or modifies a body part. Unlike an implant, a prosthesis is worn externally, like an orthopedic shoe or ostomy material.
You pay a personal contribution for a prosthesis, but no delivery margin.
Non-implantable medical devices
A personal contribution is invoiced for medical devices used during surgery, such as suture materials.
Again, the hospital pharmacist charges a delivery margin. This amounts to 10 percent of the cost price, with a maximum of 148.74 euros.
