Do you have an appointment for a consultation or admission at UZ Gent? Then sign in with your eID or ISI+ card at a registration kiosk. This can be done in the central reception. In certain cases, it can also be done at a kiosk closer to the service or department where you are expected.
Who needs to go to the central reception?
Register 30 minutes in advance at the registration kiosks of the central reception (entrance 11) if you:
- are coming for a day admission or admission (except if you have to go to the Day surgery clinic)
- are a new patient (not previously registered)
- are not affiliated with a Belgian health insurance fund
Who can register closer?
You can register 15 minutes in advance at a registration kiosk of your choice if you:
- are known as a patient at the UZ Gent (previously registered)
- and are affiliated with a Belgian health insurance fund
- and you come for consultations or have to go to the Day surgery clinic

- Entrance 7 (Dermatology, Drug research, Nephrology Plastic Surgery
- Entrance 10, route 1000 (Paediatrics)
- Entrance 11 (central reception: for all appointments in entrance 12 and other entrance numbers without kiosk)
- Entrance 25, route 250 (Dental, oral and maxillofacial diseases, Oral and maxillofacial surgery). Entrance 25 is temporarily not accessible due to works. Take entrance 12 and follow the signs to route 250
- Entrance 40, route 400 (Rehabilitation centre)
- Entrance 50, route 500 (Day surgery clinic, family members staying in the room overnight)
- Entrance 50 or 69, route 690 (General internal diseases, Allergy network, Ter Sprake Centre for audiology and speech pathology, Otorhinolaryngology, Head and neck surgery, Ophthalmology)
- Entrance 50 or 71, route 710 (Urology, Women's hospital: Gynaecology, Reproductive medicine and Obstetrics)
- Entrance 50 or 74, route 740 (Centre for integrative medicine, Physical medicine, Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Paediatric orthopaedics, Pain clinic, Rheumatology)
- Entrance 81, route 830 (Neuromuscular reference centre)
- Entrance 98, route 980 (Radiotherapy)
How do I sign in at the column?
- Enter your eID or ISI+ card in the registration kiosk and follow the instructions on the touch screen.
- Are you traveling by car? Then scan your parking ticket as soon as the kiosk indicates. This way you will pay the advantageous care rate later at the parking machine.
- Take your ticket or tracking number.

No eID or ISI+?
Don't have an eID or ISI+ card? Indicate this on the registration kiosk screen. You will be given a serial number. Take a seat in the central reception waiting room (entrance 11) until your serial number appears on the screen. A staff member at the Admissions and registration desk will help you register.
What after the registration kiosk?
Do you have an appointment? Your ticket shows the entrance and route number of the department where you are expected. Scan the ticket at the department so your doctor knows you're there. If there is no scanning device, sign in at the front desk of the department.
Are you coming for an admission or day admission? Then take a seat in the central reception waiting area (entrance 11) until your sequence number appears on the screen.
