For some appointments and all examinations, you will need a referral letter from your doctor. We prefer to receive it before your appointment. See the appointments page for instructions on how to make an appointment.
Via your doctor
Your doctor (GP) sends the referral letter to the eHealth box of the appropriate department.
Via My UZ Gent
You can also send the letter yourself via My UZ Gent.
- Go to mijn.uzgent.be.
- Log in with itsme, your eID or another government-issued digital key.
- Click on 'Confirm profile'.
- Click on 'Send file'.
- Tick 'Also send this file to a department'.
- Select the department where you have or want to make an appointment. This will notify them.
- Upload your referral letter.
The letter will be automatically added to your patient record.
