Spending the night in your child's, partner's or relative's room is called rooming-in. Some health insurance funds reimburse part of the costs. Rooming-in is not possible on all wards. It is best to contact the head nurse to discuss the possibilities.
Meals
If you stay overnight with a patient, you will get breakfast in your room. Those who are not registered will not receive breakfast. If you do not stay overnight on certain days, please inform the ward. If not, the breakfast cost will still be charged.
For lunch and dinner, you can visit the restaurant and cafeterias. You can also request an in-room meal from a nurse. This is then provided along with the patient's meal. In the Children's Hospital, it is not possible to have an additional meal delivered to the room for the time being.
Registration and cost
If you want to stay overnight in a patient room, you must register at the Admissions and registration desk and agree to the billing of the meal costs. More info on the cost price can be found in the rate list and will also be given to you when you register.
If a family member stays overnight in a patient room, the room will be charged as a single room.
