The Intercultural mediation team at UZ Gent offers language assistance and mediation for a wide range of languages. For other languages, requests are directed to the social interpreters of Amal Ghent (Agency for Integration and Integration).
The social interpreters of Amal Ghent do not have a mediating function. Their duties are limited to the complete and faithful conversion of oral messages from one language to another. The social interpreters come on site or interpret by phone or webcam.
