Het onderzoek van prof. Jan De Waele focust op de optimalisatie van antibioticagebruik bij ernstige infecties op intensieve zorg om de genezing te verbeteren en antibioticumresistentie te verminderen, met specifieke interesse in PKPD, therapeutische drugmonitoring en antibiotic stewardship.
