Parking capacity on the UZ campus is limited. Public transportation is a quick and comfortable alternative to reach the hospital.
By train
Take the train to the Gent-Sint-Pieters station. You can consult the train timetable on the SNCB-NMBS website. From the station you can take the tram or bus to UZ Gent. It takes about 20 minutes on foot.
By tram or bus
Due to infrastructure works in Ghent, tram services were adjusted on 14 September 2026.
Tram
T4 Lange Steenstraat - Muide - Rabot - Sint-Pietersstation - UZ Gent
- The UZ Gent stop is centrally located on the campus, near entrance 50 and entrance 80
- Until the end of May 2027, tram T4 will not run between Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station and UZ Gent. You can still reach us:
- from Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station by P3 shuttle bus (UZ Zwijnaardsesteenweg stop) or bus 19 (Heymanslaan stop)
- from Gent Zuid by bus 5a (UZ Zwijnaardsesteenweg stop)
T3 Moscou - Zuid - Kouter - Sint-Pieters station - Zwijnaarde
- The De Pintelaan stop is within walking distance from UZ Gent
- Until the end of May 2027, tram T3 will not run. You can take P3 shuttle bus between Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station and Zwijnaarde. Get off at the UZ Zwijnaardsesteenweg stop.

- Bus stop Heymanslaan
- You walk onto our campus through the gate at entrance D. A little further on, in the shelter at entrance 86, you can call the campus bus. More info about the campus bus
Line 5a Nieuw Gent - Zuid - Van Beverenplein - Wondelgem Station
- Stops Roelandtplein and Van Haelstraat in Steenakker. You walk onto our campus through entrance H.
- Stop UZ Zwijnaardsesteenweg at the intersection De Pintelaan-Zwijnaardsesteenweg. You walk onto our campus through entrance G. A little further on, in the shelter at entrance 77, you can call the campus bus. More info about the campus bus
